This article explains how to enable debug logging on macOS for the Netsweeper Client Filter, collect the necessary log files, and disable debug logging to prevent excessive storage usage.
Open the Apple ( ) menu and select System Preferences… or select the System Preferences icon from the dock on your Desktop.
Click the Netsweeper Client Filter icon.
Click Filter Settings.
In the Netsweeper Client Filter pop-up window, click the Filter Settings button to access the settings.
Go to the Settings tab, scroll down to the Log Settings section, and select the desired Log Level.
Click Save at the bottom of the window.
Recreate the issue you are experiencing. The logs will be saved in the following file:/Library/Application Support/filter/nscf.log
After obtaining the logs, revert the Log Level setting back to Log Disabled, as leaving it set to Debug can consume a significant amount of storage.
